As a member of the firm’s Fixed Income Team, Mahmoud manages several customized, low-turnover, and liability-oriented credit portfolios.

Prior to joining Wellington in 2016, he was a portfolio manager at Aviva Investors where he led the liability-driven credit team; managed the credit portfolios of the firm’s UK, Irish, and French clients; and oversaw investment strategy for the staff pension scheme. Before that, he was a portfolio manager at Swiss Re, an investment-grade credit manager at State Street Global Advisors, and a global fixed income manager at Salomon Brothers KAG and Citigroup Asset Management.

Mahmoud holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree in business studies from Johann Wolfgang-Goethe University and an MBA from London Business School. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of the UK.
