As an investment director of Wellington's dedicated private equity funds, Cara is responsible for the business and investment oversight of these alternative investment strategies. She helps oversee all aspects of these funds, including fund governance, product development, risk management, marketing, operations, and investor relations. She also coordinates the strategy, fundraising, and messaging around the firm’s full range of private investment capabilities.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2016, Cara was the director of client service at Horsley Bridge Partners (Global Private Equity Fund-of-Funds) in San Francisco, California (2010 – 2016). Before that, she was the director of investor relations at Highland Capital Partners, a global venture capital firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts (2009 – 2010), and held various roles at Brooke Private Equity Associates, Bain & Company, and Greylock Partners.

Cara earned her MBA from Babson College (2011) and her BS in finance from Boston College (2001).
