Dirk is the lead portfolio manager for the firm’s Long-Only Strategic European Equity and Long/Short Strategic European Equity approaches. He manages equity assets on behalf of clients, drawing on research from Wellington’s global network of industry analysts, equity portfolio managers, and team analysts.

Before joining Wellington in 2010, Dirk was a portfolio manager at Allianz Global Investors RCM, formerly Deutscher Investment Trust. Prior to that, he was an analyst covering interest-rate derivatives at Credit Lyonnais.

Dirk holds an MS in business and engineering from Technische Universitat Dresden.
