Aoi works closely with the firm’s equity investors to help ensure the integrity of the investment approaches under her coverage. She oversees portfolio positioning, performance, and risk exposures; meets regularly with investment teams; contributes to developing new products and client solutions; and manages business issues such as capacity, fees, and guidelines. She also participates in meetings with clients, prospects, and consultants to communicate the firm’s investment philosophy, strategy, positioning, and performance. Aoi joined Wellington in 2012 as a relationship analyst in the Client Group and worked in Equity Product Management. Before that, she held a variety of roles in sales and marketing at Google and worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley advising clients on M&A financing. Aoi holds a BSc in social anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MSc in philosophy of social sciences from the Graduate School of Social Sciences at Hitotsubashi University.
