As an equity portfolio manager on the firm’s Japan Team, Yuichiro manages Japanese equity assets on behalf of the firm’s clients, drawing on research from its global platform of industry analysts, portfolio managers, and team analysts. He is the lead manager of the Dynamic Japan Value Realization strategy and contributes sector research focused on health care, energy, materials, and information technology to assist teams in decision making.

Yuichiro joined Wellington in 2010 as a relationship analyst and participated in the firm’s research associate program before joining the Japan Team. Before that, he was a senior associate in strategy and marketing at SPARX Asset Management.

Yuichiro earned a BS in commerce and an MS in economics from Hitotsubashi University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
