Greg manages the firm’s private climate investment activity in growth-stage companies, overseeing a team focused on tech-enabled solutions that solve structural bottlenecks in constrained physical systems including energy, industry, supply chains, and the built environment. He works closely with global industry analysts and other research and value creation resources within the firm to identify, pursue and manage investments, working closely with portfolio managers, global industry analysts, and other global research resources within the firm to identify and pursue investments. As the climate innovation effort continues to grow, he will help build the team, develop investment talent, and further integrate Wellington’s research capabilities into this emerging business.

Greg has more than 25 years of private investing experience, including over 20 focused on climate. Prior to his current role, Greg was a Partner at Generation Investment Management (2010 – 2018), where he led venture and growth investments in companies developing climate solutions. Earlier he served as Head of the Global Solar Initiative at the Clinton Foundation (2008 – 2009) and as a Vice President in Goldman Sachs’s Special Situations Group on the Alternative Energy Investing team (2000 – 2006). He was also Head of Venture at Galaxy Digital (2018-2021), overseeing blockchain-related investments in fintech and enterprise digitization.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from George Washington University (2000). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He also serves on the board of the non-profit, Hudson River Park Friends.
