Boston has been Wellington Management’s primary office location since 1966, when the firm, which had been based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since its founding in 1928, merged with Boston-based investment firm Thorndike, Doran, Paine & Lewis.
Today, Wellington’s Boston office includes more than 1,800 employees spanning all aspects of its business and serving a wide range of institutions, including: central banks, sovereign institutions, consultants, defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, endowments and foundations, family offices, insurers, intermediaries, and wealth managers.
