Liz leads the firm’s portfolio management function within private placements, working with portfolio managers, global credit analysts, and other global research resources within the firm to identify, pursue, and manage investments. As the private placements effort continues to grow, she is responsible for building the team, developing investment talent, and further integrating Wellington’s research capabilities into this emerging business.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2022, Liz was head of portfolio management for Barings Private Debt Group where she was responsible for developing and managing the group's process and procedures, credit oversight, and portfolio management including the firm’s third-party private debt activity. She also managed a number of the group’s key relationships, was active in day-to-day investment analysis, and was a member of the Private Placement Investment Committee and the Global Infrastructure Committee at Barings (1999 – 2022). Prior to Barings, she worked at Harford Investment Management Company (1999) in private placements and at CIGNA Investment Management (1989 – 1998), starting her career in CIGNA’s actuarial executive development program and then as a vice president, private placements in CIGNA’s investment division.

Liz earned a BA from the Wesleyan University. Additionally, she holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a member of the CFA Institute, is a fellow in the Society of Actuaries, and has served on the board of the private placement investors' association.
