A full-time, up to five-year opportunity in our Investment Science Group suitable for bachelor’s students.
The world is full of fascinating questions. As an investment science associate, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in complex data sets, research challenging investment questions, and solve problems with modern data science techniques — from idea generation and prototyping to validation and production.
Examples of the nature of the work include:
- Building predictive models and identifying and validating public data sources to build out data-driven investment hypotheses
- Completing complex analytical projects and statistical analyses across securities, asset classes, and economic relationships
- Assisting with portfolio construction, factors, risk management, and trading analysis
- Creating visualizations and dashboard views using various data sets
- Working with structured and unstructured data
- Researching macroeconomic themes and factors
- Collaborating with fundamental investors to generate alpha within investment processes
Investment science associates will act as internal investment science consultants and research analysts, providing quantitative research to the firm’s talented community of investors. A full-time, up to five-year opportunity in our Investment Platform suitable for undergraduate students, and individuals with 1 – 3+ years of work experience whom we typically recruit in the Spring.
The goal of the Early Career Investor program is to provide flexible, value-added analytical resources to support the firm’s mission of superior investment performance. We aim to develop and identify exceptional RAs to build our pipeline of talented investors. Through a series of rotations, program participants will play a critical role in assisting experienced analysts and portfolio managers in conducting research and implementing their investment process. Some program participants may spend up to 24 months in their first rotation based on their experience and our needs may be more closely aligned with one asset class. Interested candidates should have geographic flexibility. For our 2021 hiring needs, opportunities exist globally, in Boston, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Positions will be sourced from local, partnered universities by each office’s recruitment team.

The InvesTech Associate program is a new program, that is a combination of the former Client Associate, Protfolio Services Associate and Technoloy Associate Programs. This program will focus on building technical and business skills through rotations across various technology and operations teams, including IT, Client Services, Portfolio Services, and Fund Services. The program design is being finalized and more details will follow.
