Matt manages the firm’s private company investment activity in late-stage growth businesses and oversees a team that invests across the technology, consumer, health care, and financial services sectors. He works closely with global industry analysts, managers, and other global research resources firmwide to identify, diligence, pursue, and manage investments in late-stage growth companies. Matt has been named to the Forbes’ Midas list of top technology investors for five consecutive years, from 2021 through 2025.*
Prior to joining Wellington in 2016, Matt was a general partner at Flybridge Capital Partners where he focused on early-stage investing. Before that, he held product roles at ATI Technologies and was a co-founder of Anandtech, a computer hardware review site.
Matt holds a BA in public policy from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard University.
