Jackson Cummings manages the firm's private company investment activity in early-stage companies led by underinvested and overlooked founders.

Prior to joining Wellington Management, Jackson was an investor at Salesforce Ventures where he worked on or led over 30 investments across multiple industries including B2B, fintech, cybersecurity and digital health. In addition, he also headed various equality initiatives, including deploying capital into black and underrepresented founders. He previously worked as a senior analyst at Top Tier Capital Partners (2014 – 2017). He co-led the Black Venture Institute, an accredited program training operators to become investors, and serves as an emeritus board member of BLCK VC, the nation’s largest community advancing Black venture investors. He is a Kauffman Fellow, a leading global venture capital fellowship program, having been a member of Class 25.
