Scott contributes to the organization’s strategic initiatives and external affairs, focusing on representing the firm to clients, prospects, regulators, industry organizations, and other key stakeholders. He serves on the CEO Management Team and the Global Compensation & Talent Committee. In his role as Head of Global Wealth, Scott manages the firm’s global fund distribution and subadvisory partnerships.
Scott relocated to London in August 2025 after two years in Boston leading Wellington’s Client Group. Prior to that, he led the APAC Client Group from Hong Kong and previously served as director of the western region at the San Francisco office within the Americas Institutional Group.
Before joining Wellington Management in 2009, Scott held various positions at Goldman Sachs, including working in US equity research sales (1998–2007) and serving as president of Vantage Marketplace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs (2008–2009). Earlier in his career, he was with Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, and Genesis Merchant Group Securities. Scott holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a BA, cum laude, from the University of Vermont.
