Ryan manages a long/short credit strategy focused on US high-yield and convertible bonds and oversees risk allocation. He also contributes nonbenchmark credit-related insights across the firm’s global credit portfolios.

Prior to joining Wellington in 2013, Ryan was a portfolio manager at Citadel, where he managed long/short US and European credit strategies for a multi-strategy hedge fund. He also served as a risk manager specializing in global quantitative and fundamental credit. Before Citadel, he was a credit analyst for Recon Capital.

Ryan holds a BA in economics, with honors, from Boston College, and an MBA in mathematical finance from Boston University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
