As an investment director in the firm’s Investment Product and Fund Strategies Group based in Frankfurt, Tobias works closely with the Fixed Income Investment Team to help ensure the overall integrity of their investment approaches. This includes meeting regularly with investment teams and overseeing portfolio positioning, performance, and risk exposures. He also contributes to the development of new products and solutions, and manages business issues such as fees, policies, and guidelines.
Tobias meets regularly with clients and prospects to communicate the firm’s philosophy, investment ideas, strategy, and positioning.
Prior to joining Wellington in 2020, Tobias worked for Mercer as a partner co-leading the German investment business. He served as a member of Mercer’s German Management Team and advised key clients on asset allocation, portfolio structuring, and strategy implementation across traditional and alternative investments.
Tobias earned his Diplom-Kaufmann (German masters-level degree) in business studies from Justus-Liebig-University Giessen. He is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute.
