Yifan is a principal on the Growth Lending Team. He is involved in all aspects of the deal process and works with our investment team on the origination, underwriting, monitoring, and analysis of growth lending deals across sectors. In addition, he manages and builds relationships with outside financing partners, including banks, sponsors, advisors, venture capital counterparts, and issuers to help originate and underwrite new assets.

Prior to joining Wellington, Yifan served as principal at Runway Growth Capital in New York, where he underwrote debt investments in technology, life sciences/healthcare, and consumer sectors. Earlier, he was a founding team member and Senior Associate at Freemark Partners, where he evaluated and executed private equity investments across industrial, business services, and consumer sectors on behalf of the Howard Marks family. He started his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York.

Yifan earned BBA degrees with highest distinction in Finance and Economics from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa.
