Van Jones is a deal lead for Wellington Management's private company investment activity in early-stage companies led by underinvested and overlooked founders.

Prior to joining Wellington Management, Mr. Jones was a partner at Drive Capital (2019 – 2021) with a particular focus on enterprise SaaS and cloud-based data infrastructure companies. Prior to working at Drive Capital, he co-founded Hello Tractor (2014 – 2019), an ag-tech company based in Nigeria which focused on improving food and income security throughout sub-Saharan Africa. He began his career in China advising large multi-national corporations on leveraging predictive analytics to de-risk new product launches within emerging markets (2008 – 2012).

Mr. Jones holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (2014) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati (2008).
