As a co-leader of Wellington’s private investments business, Michael manages diversified, late-stage growth equity investments across the technology, consumer, health care, and financial services sectors. He also leads the firm’s efforts to deepen and broaden its private investment capabilities and is a thought leader on trends and dynamics affecting late-stage growth and small-cap equity investments. Michael serves on the Incentive Compensation Committee and was the first male to serve on the advisory board of Wellington’s Women’s Business Alliance (WBA).
Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Michael worked as an equity portfolio manager at Kobrick Funds, State Street Research and Management, and Montgomery Asset Management. He began his investment career as a technology analyst for Sanford Bernstein and later for Cigna Investments.
Michael holds a BS in accounting from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany, and an MBA from New York University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
