Ed is a portfolio manager on the Fundamental Factor Team, which conducts factor-based research on market trends, manager evaluations, portfolio construction, capital allocation, and risk management. He manages several customized long-only, long/short, and multi-manager client solutions and draws on research from the broader team. He is a member of multiple firm committees and oversight groups, including the peer-review committee responsible for evaluating client portfolios managed by the firm’s global industry analysts, and the Product Panel, which approves new investment strategies. He also advises several of the firm’s strategic clients on investment strategy and risk management.

Ed joined Wellington in 2005 as an associate director in the Investment Product and Strategy Group. Before that he was an associate portfolio manager and research analyst at MFS Investment Management. He held similar roles earlier in his career at Scudder, Stevens, and Clark and Aetna Capital Management. 

Ed holds a BA in political science and economics from Occidental College and an MS in economics from Trinity College. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
