Building a blueprint for managing the physical risks of climate change

Heat, drought, wildfire, hurricanes, flooding, water scarcity. These are just a few of the physical risks of climate change that may have profound effects on capital markets.

We are working with Woods Hole Research Center (WHRC), the world’s leading independent climate research institute*, and CalPERs, one of the largest US public pension funds, to study the physical effects of climate change on capital markets and asset prices and to integrate those findings into our investment practices through a series of geospatial maps.

Collaborating on impact and other forms of sustainable investing in public markets

Harvard Business School

In 2016, faculty at Harvard Business School (HBS) conducted a case study on Wellington Global Impact for use in the school’s MBA curriculum. Wellington collaborated with HBS, and, since the study's completion, has sent team members to join class discussions on impact investing in public equities.

The Fletcher School at Tufts University

In 2018, faculty at The Fletcher School, Tufts’ graduate school of international affairs, taught the HBS case study on Wellington Global Impact and invited Wellington to conduct additional workshops on impact investing and measurement.

How we create sustainable investing partnerships

Physical risks of climate change: Is your company prepared?

We've teamed up with CalPERS on a framework called "P-ROCC" to help management teams integrate climate science scenarios into strategic planning and disclosure.
