Sam is an equity portfolio manager on the Global Stewards Team, a long-term sustainable investment strategy that focuses on companies based on both their return potential and exemplary corporate stewardship profiles. Before assuming his current role he was an equity research analyst covering durables.

Prior to joining Wellington in 2019, Sam was a portfolio manager, analyst, and co-director of equity research at Putnam Investments. He served as a health care analyst and managed or co-managed the firm’s growth opportunities, research, and global health care strategies. He also helped manage and develop the equity research team. Before that, he was an equity research analyst at Fidelity Institutional Asset Management specializing in global medical technology and life sciences companies.

Sam holds a BA in politics, philosophy, and economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
