Our public markets investing team seeks to outperform global equities over a market cycle by investing in companies materially focused on providing climate mitigation or climate adaptation solutions.
Our climate experts study the investment risks and opportunities associated with climate change. Supported by scientific research collaborations and deep sector expertise, they help investment teams evaluate physical and transition risks, identify climate-related opportunities, and engage with issuers on financially material climate considerations. We also offer climate-centered solutions focused on both climate mitigation and adaptation across public and private markets.
Our approach: Research-based, science-supported
Supporting our clients’ climate objectives
We have years of experience working in partnership with clients across investment approaches, including managing climate solution strategies and client accounts with low-carbon guidelines, decarbonization glidepaths, or engagement expectations designed to encourage portfolio transition alignment. Our climate solution strategies are non-concessionary and emphasize material revenue exposure from products and services focused on climate mitigation or adaptation. Furthermore, Wellington is dedicated to working in partnership with clients globally who ask us to implement climate objectives into new and existing mandates we manage on their behalf, including those targeting net zero emissions.
