Interviewing with Us for Undergraduate Positions

Prepare for a Rigorous yet Rewarding Experience

Interviewing for a position at Wellington Management is a rigorous yet rewarding experience. During the process, you will meet with numerous people at our firm — all of them stakeholders in the position for which you are applying. Through this valuable learning process, we gain a solid assessment of your skill set and a feeling for whether you will be comfortable within our culture. At the same time, you learn more about us and the role you are applying for.

Internships

For students applying for internships, the process typically consists of two rounds of interviews. The first-round interview is conducted either in person (on campus) or by phone by one or two Wellington Management professionals. Our second-round, back-to-back interviews are usually structured as a “Super Day” in our offices. For students applying to internships, you will be asked to submit a statement of Interest, resume, transcript, and a one-page sample research piece. Continuing candidates will meet with a number of Wellington professionals.

Second-Year Students

For second-year students applying for full-time positions, the process can be somewhat different. You will meet with many people over the course of several weeks, and may be asked to visit our offices on more than one occasion. All full-time positions will be posted in September. Interested students will be asked to submit a statement of interest, resume, transcripts, and to complete a practicle application exercise related to the specific role. First round interviews, if applicable, will be completed on-campus or via video conference with 2-3 Wellington professionals. Continuing candidates will be invited to a super day which consists of a one day site visit, getting to know the firm, followed by a series of interviews.

Of course, all of the information you share, including your interest in pursuing a career with us, is kept strictly confidential.
